Dragon Door: Website Build/Migration

Full website rebuild and migration. Their original site was a 20-year-old, custom-coded ASP.NET build that looked and felt outdated. Our goal was to bring it into the modern era with a fresh design focused on CRO and SEO while preserving all historical content.

This project involved migrating hundreds of blog posts and products, setting up 301 redirects, and rebuilding the entire site from scratch in Shopify using Liquid. I also developed a custom Google Apps Script integrated with Google Sheets, enabling the team to sync new workshop signups with an existing legacy system.

Throughout the build, I leveraged Shopify’s JSON theme architecture to make page sections fully customizable in the visual editor, ensuring non-technical users could easily update content. I created custom collections, implemented advanced functionality using Shopify Metafields, and set up early-bird discount logic using Shopify Flow.

The project required close collaboration with both technical and non-technical staff at Dragon Door to deliver the features, workflows, and user experience they envisioned.
